Get to Know Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Abe
For Dr. Abe, forming meaningful relationships and seeing dental patients change for the better over time is the best part of being a dentist by far! Whether she’s straightening teeth or treating inflamed gum tissue, so it’s pink and healthy again. She always gives 110% to the person in the treatment chair, so they can start loving their smile. Call us today if you’d like to schedule a visit with her and her husband Dr. Batson, or keep reading below to learn more.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
While growing up, Dr. Abe always enjoyed art and science. Two of her older female cousins worked as dental hygienists, and she looked up to them. In college, she started working as a dental assistant and quickly fell in love with the work. The rest is history! In her eyes, dentistry is the ideal blend of art, science, and wonderful details.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After attending the University of Hawaii, Dr. Abe achieved her dental doctorate at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She’s also received additional training in SureSmile Clear Aligners and in BOTOX through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Attending good continuing education classes all over the country is a big priority for her, particularly courses at the Kois Center and SPEAR Education.

Outside Of The Dental Office, What Do You Like To Do?
Dr. Abe and Dr. Batson have two children at home, and they love being outdoors together whenever the Missouri weather allows it. She always looks forward to a good hike with a view, camping, and doing pretty much anything on the water! But above all else, watching her kids learn new things and laugh is what she enjoys most each day.
